To use .B ftpmail , you configure your .B proftpd daemon to write its \fITransferLog\fP to a FIFO; the .B ftpmail program is a FIFO reading program which then processes those log messages. .SH OPTIONS .TP 12 .B \--help Display a short usage description, including all available options. .TP .B \--attach-file If used, this will cause a copy of the uploaded file to be included, as an attachment, in the generated email. .TP .BI \--auth " smtp-auth-info-file" Configures the path to a file containing SMTP authentication information. The configured file should look like this: .RS .RS .PD 0 .TP 10 .B user username .TP .B password password .PD .RE .RE .TP .BI \--fifo " fifo-path" Indicates the path to the FIFO to which .B proftpd is writing its \fBTransferLog\fP. That is, this is the path that you used for the \fBTransferLog\fP directive in your \fIproftpd.conf\fP. This parameter is .B REQUIRED. .TP .BI \--from " email-address" Specifies the email address to use in the .I From email header. This parameter is .B REQUIRED. .TP .BI \--ignore-users " regex-pattern" Specifies a Perl regular expression. If the uploading user name matches this regular expression, then an email notification is \fBNOT\fP sent; otherwise, an email is sent. .TP .BI \--log " xferlog-path" Since this script reads the \fBTransferLog\fP using FIFOs, the actual \fBTransferLog\fP file is not written by default. Use this option to write the normal \fBTransferLog\fP file, in addition to watching for uploads. .TP .BI \--recipient " email-address" Specifies an email address to which to send an email notification of the upload. This option can be used multiple times to specify multiple recipients. .B AT LEAST ONE recipient is .B REQUIRED. .TP .BI \--smtp-server " server-address" Specifies the SMTP server to which to send the email. This parameter is .B REQUIRED. .TP .BI \--subject " subject" Specify a custom \fISubject\fP email header for the email sent.
